LET'S PRAY TOGETHER

Never tire of making our requests known to the Father. We are not begging. We are making our heart transparent. God's will be done.

  • Camp Garner Creek (CGC) needs a dining hall that isn’t in the floodplain, but we do not know how God will meet the need. Pray expectantly as we look for God to meet the needs of His ministry at CGC.
  • Pray for CGC leaders as they continue working with the SBA as a possible way God will meet the need to fund necessary construction.
  • Family Camp is May 28 - June 3, 2023. This kicks off our summer camping season and is a very special, multi-generational camping experience. I am thankful for this tradition and hopeful for what God is going to do.
  • Summer Camps begin June 5. Groups from all over are in their final planning stages. Pray for the various leaders as they prepare their groups for a supernatural camping experience.
  • We are in the final weeks of fielding a team of interns to participate in our Summer Small Group Experience. www.surveymonkey.com/r/CGCIntern20

CONTINUE TO PRAY:

  • Access to an excavator with a grapple. This goes a long way to help us deal with the lifecycle of our mature trees and wooded areas. It also is a necessary part of maintaining our creek. We can do A LOT in a few hours. (6-12 days/year)

  • Still need 2 well-maintained golf carts. A side by side would also work.

The floods have always taken out golf carts, and something else always takes priority when it comes to replacing them.

  • Still praying about funds to get the Youth Chapel back on line.

We have a group coming that will be cleaning up the Youth Chapel in an attempt to use it as an open air pavilion for camps this summer!

Most Pressing Need at CGC

Excerpt from District Assembly Annual Report on May 28.

Finley Knowles

Our most pressing need continues to be replacing our buildings that are in the floodplain. The essential buildings that need to be in a safe place at a higher elevation are a Dining Hall, Youth Chapel, Snack Shack, and Conference Room Space. We have drawings for a dining hall complex that will meet our needs with capacity to serve for the next 50 years or more. We have $1 M in donations and pledges for this purpose.

It is reasonable for us to expect future flooding and therefore bad leadership on my part if I don’t continue to beat this drum. I don’t have unique insights about this. Any Director would tell you the same thing. Camp Garner Creek needs a new dining hall.

In addition to donations and pledges, we have those who support CGC with a monthly gift. We call it the Ten Bucks a Month Club, or TBAM for short. We need hundreds of supporters to join TBAM. 100% of TBAM money goes to support construction, initially the dining hall. Currently we have $2,050* coming in each month from TBAM-ers. That’s an awesome start! If you want to learn more about TBAM, you can visit TENBUCKSAMONTHCLUB.COM.

It’s exciting to see a team of supporters pooling their investments each month for the future of what God is doing at CGC.

*Since District Assembly April 27-28, the monthly amount donated through TBAM is now up to $2,163.

GOD provides for His purposes in a

       variety of ways.

     It is IMPOSSIBLE

to pin GOD down and say,

                    "This is how it's done."

CGC Selected as Site for Two Camping Association Conventions

In  2024 Camp Garner Creek will be the site for two camping association conventions.

In March 2024 the national Nazarene Camping Association (NCA) will be on campus for their annual conference. NCA exists to provide prayer, support and networking among camp, retreat and conference centers within the Church of the Nazarene.

TBAM at a New Monthly High

There are now $2,163 coming in each month through TEN BUCKS A MONTH Club donations! TBAM directs your gift toward the most pressing need of CGC: a Dining Hall at an elevation out of the floodplain. TBAM is the easiest way to give on a regular basis to the mission and ministry of CGC. We can do this as we all pitch in a little!

If you are not already a part of TBAM, here's a link to show the ways you can give.
