Register now and make plans to join us in February 2024 at Camp Garner Creek in Dickson, TN as we come together to serve one another, encourage one another, bear one another’s burdens, and rejoice together—because we are BETTER TOGETHER!
1 Corinthians 12:25-26 says God’s design is “that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another. If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together.”
Your TN-KY Sectional is devoted to serving and encouraging our members so that we may have the same care for one another as we seek to develop healthy members—both camps, and more importantly, camp staff. It is only when our camp staff are healthy that our respective ministries can be healthy, and as a result: a healthy TN-KY Sectional. The truth is we are BETTER TOGETHER! This is not only the name of our sectional conference, but also our theme for 2024!
We are thankful for sponsors who help make this sectional possible!

Rusty Ellis - Keynote Speaker, Founder of Crossings Ministry
I got a ‘late start’ in ministry. I was in business in NC, where we had 34 stores, when I got tired of running from God. I knew God had called me to vocational ministry, but I was 39 years old and didn’t have a degree. So the short story is that I went back to college in North Carolina and then went to Southern Seminary, from which I graduated in 1992. I was 43 when I first pastored in 1992.
In 1997, God called me to lead our Kentucky Baptist camps, where my family and I started Crossings Camps. After we got Crossings going, I left to become pastor of historic Walnut Street in urban Louisville. I left Walnut Street in 2012, believing it was time for a “younger man” to come and lead that church.
Since then, I have served eight other churches as transitional pastor, the most recent of which was FBC Murray, where the Cooperative Program began. I also continue to play various roles at Crossings, where we served more than 22,000 students and children this summer.
My wife, Pam, and I just celebrated our 51st anniversary. We have two grown daughters, both married to godly men, and six grandchildren. We are very blessed by God.
